Mr. Buchan received his B.A. cum laude, from Rutgers College, in 2001, where he was a member of the Rutgers Varsity Lacrosse team. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law in 2004, where he served as president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Club. During law school, Mr. Buchan interned with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Following law school, he served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable William L’E. Wertheimer, Judge of the Superior Court, Union County. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Buchan is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New Jersey State Bar Association, the Association of the Federal Bar, and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. In January 2009 Mr. Buchan was appointed to serve as the Municipal Prosecutor for Franklin Township, New Jersey. He has been recognized in New Jersey Monthly magazine's "Super Lawyers - Rising Stars" of the legal profession in 2009 thru 2012.
