Mr. Stone has extensive experience in business litigation (including RICO, securities law, real estate law, and insurance coverage), criminal defense, ethics proceedings, and appeals.  He is the former Chair of the Federal Practice and Procedure Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (2002-2004) and a former member of the Lawyers' Advisory Committee, United States District Court, District of New Jersey (2003-2004).  He is a member of the American Bar Association (including the Litigation Section and the RICO Committee), the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

In July 2007, Mr. Stone was nominated by President George W. Bush to the United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.

Mr. Stone was selected by New Jersey Super Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation in 2005-2010, and he was also recognized in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition in the area of Business Litigation in 2009 and 2010.*

He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1987, where he was a teaching assistant in both legal writing and civil procedure.
